Odisha FM Minister presents interim budget; know the details

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera on Thursday presented the interim budget for the full year of 2019-20 in the State Assembly. Behera presented the Vote-on-Account or Interim Budget of Rs 56821crore.

While presenting the interim budget, Behera said “Odisha’s economy is expected to grow at the rate of 8.35 per cent in 2018-19 surpassing all India rate of 7.2 per cent. This comes on top of a robust average growth of more than 8 per cent in the last six years compared to the national average of about 7.1 per cent. Going by the trends in the external and domestic economic environment, the state economy can be expected to grow in the range of 8 per cent to 8.5 per cent during 2019-20.”

“We are close to achieve the irrigation target of 10 lakh hectares and it will be achieved by April 1, 2019,” added Behera.

Here are the provisions for different schemes & programs:

Rs 4,461 crore allocated for Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) Scheme.

Rs 8,000 crore allocated for Interest Subvention to Farmers.

Rs 4,000 crore allocated for Ama Gaon Ama Bikash-PEETHA Schemes.

Rs 2,935 crore allocated for Rural Water Supply-BASUDHA Scheme.

Rs 2,120 crore allocated for Madhubabu Pension Yojana.

Rs 301 crore allocated for Mission Shaki.

Rs 305 crore allocated for MAMATA Yojana.

Rs 864 crore allocated for Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana.

Rs 105 crore allocated for Biju Yuva Bahini.

Rs 1,777 crore allocated for Parvati Giri Mega Lift Yojana,

Rs 1,465 crore allocated for Water Sector Infrastructure Development Programme.

Rs 1,300 crore allocated for Road Development Programme.

Rs 1,028  crore allocated for Supply of Rice at Rs 1 per kg.

Rs 959  crore allocated for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship to ST & SC students.

Rs 533  crore allocated for 33/11 KV Sub-Stations.

Rs 500  crore allocated for  Biju Setu Yojana.

Rs 410  crore allocated for Development of Railway Projects in the state.

Rs 401  crore allocated for UNNATI Yojana.

Rs 357 crore allocated for Construction of Check-Dams.

Rs 350 crore allocated for Mukhya Mantri Sadak Yojana.

Rs 300 crore allocated for Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya.

Rs 260 crore allocated for Provision for Corpus Fund for Seeds, Fertilizers etc.

Rs 250 crore allocated for Exploitation of Ground Water in water deficit areas.

Rs 227 crore allocated for construction of SC and ST hostels.

Rs 210 crore allocated for Canal Lining and System Rehabilitation Programme.

Rs 200 crore allocated for State Highways Development Project.

Rs 190 crore allocated for State Capital Region Improvement in Power Supply (SCRIPS).

Rs 188 crore allocated for Incentives under IPR.
