Sambalpur: On Friday an engineering student has allegedly drowned while taking a bath in a power channel in Burla of Sambalpur in Odisha.
According to reports, the student was from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) situated in Sambalpur.
The deceased has been identified as Trilochan Maharana, he was studying in the second of Mechanical Engineering branch.
According to the reports, 11 friends had gone to take a bath during which Trilochan slipped and got swept into the deep waters.
His friends shouted for help when the locals intimated the fire tenders.
The fire tenders searched for a long time rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation but they found the body.
