Odisha Election: BJD meets Election Commission, seeks action against BJP within 48 hours

Bhubaneswar: The state ruling Biju Janta Dal (BJD) on Tuesday met Odisha
Election Commission (EC) and demanded action against the state unit of BJP within 48 hours.

A BJD delegate, led by party spokesperson Dr Sasmit Patra, met the state Election Commission over BJP’s press meet on an intelligence report purportedly prepared by Odisha Police after carrying out an assessment of BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s candidature from Hinjili constituency in Ganjam district.

The conch party submitted a memorandum to the EC requesting for an investigation to establish truth in the case and take exemplary action against the saffron party within 48 hours.
