Bhubaneswar: The Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay to visit Malkangiri and Koraput on Sunday. He will land at the HAL helipad in Sunabeda and then visit the areas.
DGP Abhay will inagurate the Pottangi police station in Koraput district. He will then visit Malkangiri to review the maoist areas.
He will hold talks with Malkangiri SP, BSF DIG and other senior officials and prepare a blue print for the Maoist supression in the Koraput and Malkangiri areas.
He has also plans to visit new BSF Camp in the Swabhiman area. As it was a remote and hilly area,it was home for the Maoists. The scenario is changing in the region after the Gurupriya bridge was built.
