Bhubaneswar: The Department of Sports and Youth Services has created various sports specific divisions for operationalizing the vision of making Odisha a leading State in the field of sports.
In this regard, the Department has invited applications from sports passionate persons to join its dynamic team of professionals. Any serving Government employee – from Central/State Govt., PSUs, Government Organizations, Armed Forces, and Organisations under the Ministry of Defense, Railways, and National Sports Federations (recognized by Government of India) is eligible to apply for “deputation” with the Department.
Retired government employees from the list above can also apply to join the department on “contractual basis”. The applicants can be at any level in the Government- as a coach, as a sports administrator, or employed under sports quota or just any employee who is interested in sports and wants to work for the development of sports.
Detailed information on recruitment is posted on www.sportsodisha.gov.in. The deadline for submission of the application is November 18.
Odisha won the ‘Best State for Promoting Sports’ award from Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the India Sports Summit, New Delhi. Selected personnel will get an opportunity to be associated with some of the leading names in the Sports Industry, Federations, Clubs and elite players.
Odisha Sports Department with its unique sports initiatives, marquee events and state of art Stadium and High Performance Centres, is poised to become the Sports Hub of the country and the selected candidates will get to be a part of the evolving sports ecosystem of the State and script history.
