Kendrapara: In a major setback, The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch on Wednesday began the process for freezing bank accounts (more than 50) of gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito, Benazir and other relatives (18 people) in different banks (34 banks).
In a written statement the Crime Branch informed that letter has been issued to Tehsildar of Kendrapara,Dharmasala,Balichandrapur,Mahakalapada,Pattamundai,Garadpur,Marsaghai to supply information and documents related to tendering process of Balighats, moorum etc.
It also said that letter has been written to Inspector General of Registration, Cuttack and Director Odisha e-Governance Services Ltd for supply of information and documents related to land property, mouza, tehsil, purchaser etc.
Devidutt Dash, DGM EPI Ltd has been summoned regarding global tender of 700-beded Mother Child Care unit of Kendrapara DHH. Which was to be set up with a cost of Rs 110 crore.
The gangster’s wife Bandana Roy has been asked to furnish detailed information regarding Kolkota land deal of 1.10 crore.
The STF had earlier found gangster Tito’s link with Ollywood.
