Counterfeit Currency Racket Busted in Jajpur Road, 6 Arrested

Jajpur Road: A gang involved in manufacture of counterfeit currency notes has been arrested by the police.

A six membered gang was arrested and a sum of Rs. 4,77,000 was recovered by the police.

Other seized items were colour printers, mobiles and bikes.

Acting under a tip-off the police conducted the operation. Separate special teams were involved in the search operation.

While 2 culprits were caught in a raid in Dangadi haat, other 4 were caught in Bhuban, Dhenkanal district.

The origin of the counterfeit currency network is still under investigation.
