Odisha: Community Health Centre Ransacked Over Minor’s Death

Balasore: Locals today ransacked Gopikishan Bhattar Community Health Centre at Jaleswar following the death of a 12-year-old boy. The mob vandalised hospital properties alleging medical negligence for the death of the minor boy.  

As per reports the deceased hailing from Rajpur village under Jaleswar block was admitted to the hospital after he complained of sickness. He was declared dead by a doctor at the hospital.

However, his family members claimed that they found him alive after taking him home. The boy was then taken to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital, where he was declared received dead.

The mob then resorted to violence and pelted stones at the doctor and hospital as well. They also staged a road blockade by burning tyres disrupting the vehicular traffic. Adequate police personnel has been mobilised in the area to bring the situation under control.
