Bhawanipatna: A degree student leveled harassment charges against a Head of the Department (HOD) of her college in Kalahandi district on Saturday. She also lodged an FIR with the M Rampur Police Station accusing her lecturer of indulging in objectionable talks with her.
As per her police complaint, HOD of Geography department in Madanpur Rampur Panchayat College, Raghunath Mohapatra used to have objectionable talks with her over phone and showed her obscene behaviour despite repeated warnings.
“Our HOD Raghu Sir used to have objectionable telephonic talks with me. After I called him one day to inquire about our class, he starting calling me repeatedly after that even though there was no class. He called me so that he could clear my doubts when no one was around,” said the +3 second year Geography department student while speaking to the reporters.
“I had added sir’s phone number in the blacklist as he used to call me and indulged in dirty talks,” she added.
On the other hand, the HOD said that the allegation leveled against him by the girl was completely false. She was accusing him as he had caught the girl red-handed with a boy in an objectionable position at Room No 5 in the college.
