Odisha CM Sets New Democratic Benchmark, Invites BJP Leaders Who Had Marched To Naveen Niwas To Have Discussion
Bhubaneswar: A never seen incident unfolded in the political history of Odisha on Thursday. The party members of BJP marched towards Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s residence Naveen Niwas in order to meet him and discuss various issues with him while the CM opened the door for them.
BJP legislators under the leadership of the Leader of Opposition, Pradipta Kumar Naik marched to Naveen Niwas from the State Assembly waving banners and sloganeering. They had approached the residence of Patnaik with a bevy of farm issues to nail the State Government.
However, the CM’s gesture disarmed them as he came out of his residence to greet and invite the BJP leaders to have a discussion with him.
Naveen Patnaik’s gesture has certainly set a new democratic benchmark.

The BJD MLAs were also seen marching towards Naveen Niwas behind the BJP leaders. “We are always with the farmers of the Sate. We never politicize any issue and we want to have a discussion over the farmers’ problems in the State Assembly,” said BJD’s Pranab Prakash Das while speaking to the reporters.
Congress legislators, on the other hand, staged a demonstration in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s statue on the premises of Odisha Assembly.
