Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sought everyone’s cooperation for the peaceful and successful celebration of Rath Yatra this year.

Patnaik sought everyone’s support and cooperation during a special review meeting held at Town Hall in Puri under his chairmanship.

While speaking to the attendees virtually, Patnaik expressed his happiness over the decision to hold the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings in the presence of the devotees this year after a gap of two years. The Development Commissioner informed that a total of 20 Emergency Medical Centres and 2 Heatstroke rooms will be opened, 233 doctors will be appointed, six Food Inspectors will be engaged and 200 units of blood will be kept ready during the upcoming Rath Yatra.

Likewise, as many as 30 drinking water tankers will provide water round the clock on the Bada Danda (Grand Road) and steps will be taken to provide continuous electricity supply, he added.

The Development Commissioner further informed that the Indian Railways will run 137 special trains during the Rath Yatra this year.
