Odisha CM Sanctions Rs 5 Crore For Development Of Swargadwar

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sanctioned Rs 5 crore in the 1st phase for development of Swargadwar in Puri.

The decision to develop the Swargadwar was taken during a high level meeting held under the chairmanship of Patnaik in the Loka Seva Bhawan today.

According to an official communication the funds will be spent from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). Officials said that Phoenix Foundation will take up the development works.

Under the project, modern facilities will be made available for cremation at Swargadwar, which was ravaged by cyclone Fani. This apart, facilitation of the cremation process during all seasons will be ensured.

Patnaik has also directed the concerned authorities to complete the development works within six months.
