Odisha CM reviews Covid situation in State, Asks for prioritising booster dose for journalists

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday reviewed Covid situation in State and laid stress on micro-containment strategy.

The CM said that if people co-operate, containment will not impact livelihoods. He also asked for prioritising booster dose for journalists as they also come under frontline workers.

Following the review the CM said that the Covid situation in the State is under control. He urged people not to get frightened while he also asked officials to accelerate vaccination.

The CM appealed the citizens to abide Covid norms strictly. He said that with everybody’s cooperation, we can fight with the situation without affecting livelihood of the citizens.

The CM said that during this third wave of pandemic, so far Covid management is satisfactory. For the last few days, number of infection is constant. In metro cities, number of active cases has started to fall. The symptoms are seen to be simple and patients don’t need to visit hospital in many cases. However, despite this good news we need to take precaution.
