Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patanik has urged people of Odisha, Odias across the world and people linked with the land of Odisha to sing Bande Utkala Janani at 5.30 PM on May 30 (coming Saturday). The CM made the appeal to show respect to the Corona warriors, who are working hard day and night to fight against Corona pandemic. He specially mentioned that people should sing the song with due abidance of the norms of social distancing.
In a video message Patnaik said that two months back countries across the world became prey to the jaws of Coronavirus. It also heavily affected Odisha. In the wake of the pandemic Odisha Govt in the leadership of Naveen Patnaik took many steps whatever it thought was needed to face the critical situation at that moment.
The CM also said that due to appropriate steps taken at the right moment so far we have managed to limit the number of casualties as less as possible and became successful in curbing the pandemic to a great extent.
He thanked people of Odisha for their cooperation in this time of distress.
