Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik to visit Rome, To join World Food Programme

Bhubaneswar: Almost after a decade, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is likely to visit Rome and UAE in the end of June to attend several events.

Reportedly, he will attend an event organized by the World Food Programme in Rome. On the occasion, the Chief Minister will share his experience about Odisha’s efforts, capabilities and success in transforming agriculture, food security and disaster mitigation in the state that have been exemplary for others.

Earlier in February, Bishow Parajuli, World Food Programme Representative met Naveen Patniak and invited to visit Rome.

He may call on Pope Francis, the Bishop of Rome and hence Head of Catholic Church during his visit. He will also attend an investor’s meeting in Dubai and address a meeting of some Non-resident Odias living there, added reports.

Notably, this will be chief minister’s second foreign trip during his 22 years as Chief Minister of Odisha.
