Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik talks to Sarpanchs to check trespass from other states

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik talked to Sarpanchs of the Gram Panchayats across the state through video conferencing on Wednesday.

During the talk the CM administered oath to 6700 Sarpanchs through video conferencing to work with sincerity to stop the spread of Corona in Gram Panchayats.

Sarpanchs also vowed to keep people coming from outside the state and other villages in quarantine and to look after their stay, food and medicines.

In the wake of Coronavirus pandemic the sarpanchs were asked to take responsibility to check trespass of people from other states through their respective villages. In their response, the sarpanchs pledged to execute their share of responsibilities in this regard.

It is to be noted that it is practically impossible only for police and administration to check the intruders from coming to Odisha from other states. And hence the Chief Minister talked to the sarpanchs to discuss a measure to check such people with an aim to curb COVID menace in the state.

Now due to lock down the state boarders have been sealed but still it has been observed that a number of people have become successful to enter Odisha from other states.
