Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday extended his warm greetings to the people especially Christian brothers and sisters in Odisha and outside on the occasion of Christmas.

“Warm greetings and best wishes to all on this joyous occasion of Christmas. May the spirit of Christmas be the harbinger of prosperity, abundance and peace in your lives. Merry Christmas,” the Chief Minister wrote in Twitter.

Christmas marking the birth of Jesus Christ is being celebrated across the state with religious fervour, gaiety and enthusiasm. Churches have been beautifully decorated with glowing stars and lights in major churches across the state.

In the State capital here, people thronged the churches on Christmas eve for the traditional midnight mass, last night. Special prayers, carols and hymns mark celebrations at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church here.
