Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik distributes BSKY smart health cards in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik distributed the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) smart health cards in Keonjhar district and dedicated various development projects through virtual mode on Thursday.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said that by 2022, every household across Odisha will have access to clean drinking water.

Earlier CM Patnaik had visited Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj to distribute the same. Prior to that he distributed the health cards in Deogarh in a virtual mode, on September 22 in Titlagarh. He also laid the foundation stone for development of Harishankar Temple at Patnagarh. The smart health card was launched in Malkangiri on August 20 and Sundergarh on September 14.

On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, the Chief Minister had announced to provide Smart Health Cards to 3.5 crore people in the State under BSKY. The BSKY smart health card will entitle the beneficiaries’ free treatment at all Government hospitals of the state and more than 200 private hospitals of the state and outside.

Each family can avail treatment benefits up to Rs 5 lakh per annum under the scheme and in case of women family members, the limit is Rs 10 lakh.
