Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik distributes BSKY Health Cards in Angul, Dhenkanal

Bhubaneswar: Angul and Dhenkanal districts were added to the benefits of the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) on Saturday. Accordingly, now almost half of the State has been added to take benefit of the said scheme.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday inaugurated the distribution of BSKY cards in Dhenkanal and Anugul. About 10 lakh people from each of these districts will be benefited from the scheme.

On this occasion the CM said BSKY Smart Health Card is a powerful step towards achieving the goal of a Healthy and Happy Odisha. The CM also inaugurated a slew of projects worth Rs 880 for Dhenkanal district on this occasion. Similarly, projects worth Rs 1176 were also inaugurated.

The CM first distributed BSKY cards to some beneficiaries in Angul. On this occasion he remembered sacrifice of freedom fighters Nabakrushna Choudhury and Malati Choudhury.

Similarly, the CM remembered martyr Baji Rout and Sarangadhar Das in Dhenkanal and said that this land has always raised voice against injustice. He said that about Rs 50 crore will be spent on development of tourism in Dhenkanal. On this occasion the CM distributed Smart Health Cards to some beneficiaries and also flagged off the Health Awareness Chariot.
