Odisha CM launches ‘Ama Ghare LED’ Scheme

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday launched ‘Ama Ghare LED’ scheme of Energy Department at Stare Secretariat here through Video Conferencing.

Energy Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Odisha government, Hemant Sharma said, each beneficiary registered under National Food Security Act (NFSA) and the State Food Security Scheme (SFSS) will be provided four LED bulbs of 9 watt each free of cost under the scheme.

Around 95 lakhs of such households will be benefited under this scheme, he added.

The free LED bulbs will be distributed at Panchayat offices as well as PEETHA (People’s Empowerment—Enabling Transparency and Accountability of Odisha Initiative) camps across the state, Sharma informed.
