Odisha CM inaugurates, lays foundation stones for a slew of projects in Balasore

Balasore: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday inaugurated and laid foundation stones for a slew of developmental projects to be constructed at different places of the district.

Patnaik, during his day-long visit to the district, inaugurated 33 developmental projects worth Rs 311 crore and laid foundation stones for 43 projects worth Rs 5782 crore.

The Rs 5,000 crore Subarnarekha Port project, being developed by Tata Steel, Nilagiri Mega Rural Piped Water Supply Project of worth Rs 172.91 Cr, High-Level Bridge over river Subarnarekha of Rs 189.97 Cr are some of the major projects for which the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone today.

Apart from inaugurating and laying foundation stones for the projects, Naveen also inaugurated the Talsari Beach Festival and addressed a gathering there, Besides, he addressed the Biju Yuva Vahini regional conclave at the Police Line field in the town. Around 40,000 youths from Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Jajpur and Balsore attended the conclave.
