Odisha CM inaugurates 41 Parvati Giri Mega Lift Irrigation projects

Bhubaneswar: With a view to boost agriculture in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated as many as 41 Parvati Giri Mega Lift Irrigation projects through video conference from the State secretariat here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, the Parvati Giri Mega Lift Irrigation projects have an irrigation potential of 50,000 hectares in the state.

Farmers of 392 villages under 14 blocks of 9 districts will get benefit from the 1772 crore mega Lift Irrigation projects, he added.

The districts include Gajapati, Kalahandi , Nabarangpur, Bargarh, Balangir, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Boudh and Subarnapur.

Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
