Odisha CM felicitates National Award winning teacher Om Prakash Mishra

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday felicitated teacher Om Prakash Mishra, who was conffered with the National Teachers’ Award by Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu on the occasion of Teacher’s Day on September 5.

Highly appreciating Mishra, who is the in-charge headmaster of Government High School of Jeypore in Koraput district, for his unique way of making the hard subjects very easy for the rural students to understand, Patnaik felicitated with a bouquet of flower and presented him a memento at state Secretariat.

Notably, Omprakash Mishra was one of the 45 teachers and the only Odia who was conferred with the National Award for Teachers this year.

He was selected for the prestigious award for his effective use of school labs and technology in teaching of science and mathematics.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also had met the teacher personally and highly appreciated him.
