Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday congratulated internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik for successfully conducting the annual International Sand Art Festival in Konark of Puri district.
The Chief Minister met Sudarsan, who is the brand ambassador of the annual International Sand Art Festival, at the state Secretariat here and highly appreciated his efforts in making the event a grand success.
Naveen Patnaik also felicitated the foreign sand artists who took part in the International Sand Art Festival. Sand artists from Sri Lanka, Germany, Singapore, Mexico, Ghana, Spain, France and Russia took part in the event.

While the winner was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, the first and second runners-up were given Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
The annual Sand Art Festival is being organised between December 1 and 5 at Chandrabhaga Beach, Konark on the sideline of enthralling annual Konark Dance Festival.
