Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved a plan to revive the Musa Nala in Puri at the cost of Rs 26 Crore to ensure abundance of drinking water supply in the pilgrim city.
The comprehensive action plan drawn up by the State Govt will ensure that Musa Nala is transformed into a thriving water body so that it helps ground water recharge in the holy city.
The Department of Water Resources will spend Rs 26 crore on renovation and rehabilitation of the nala. The money has already been sanctioned for the project.
The work will start immediately after this monsoon and completed within two years.
