Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday appreciated noted sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik’s art on Konark wheel in Japan.
Taking to his twitter handle, Patnaik said, “Appreciate @sudarsansand for beautiful representation of famous Konark wheels through his #SandArt in Japan. The sculptural marvel is finest representative of #Odisha’s craftsmanship & artistry expressed through the language of stone.”
It is worthwhile to mention here that Sudarshan’s sand sculpture of the Konark wheel at an international sand art exhibition in a sand museum in Japan on Wednesday was hailed by one and all.
Sudarshan represented India at the exhibition where participants from 21 countries took part. Theme of the exhibition was “South Asia Sculptors”.
Sudarshan had shared the picture of the sculpture, which is 20ft long and 6ft tall, on his Twitter handle.
