Odisha CM appeals for peace and harmony ahead of Ayodhya verdict

Bhubaneswar: Hours before the the Supreme Court verdict in Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case of Ayodhya, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday asked one and all to maintain peace and harmony.

The Chief Minister took to Twitter route to appeal everyone to accept the judgement of the apex court.  “Let us continue to live in peace and harmony. The spirit of brotherhood is the hallmark of our secular fabric,” he said.

The Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya title suit comes nine years after the 2:1 judgement of the Allahabad High Court that ordered a three-way division of the disputed 2.77 acres of land between the three parties — Ram Lalla, Sunni Waqf Board and the Nirmohi Akhara.
