Odisha CM Announces Special Package For Development Of Lingaraj Temple

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government today announced Ekamra Kshetra Yojana for development of 11th Century shrine- Lingaraj Temple.

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik who chaired a high-level meeting at the Loka Seva Bhavan.

The development programme which will be launched on 66 acres of land includes as many as nine projects such as  restoration of Bindusagar and other heritage tanks, modern parking facilities and development of Mukteswar and Kedargouri temples.

The government has also announced Rs 30000 cash assistance for evicted vendors along with allotment of shops in vending zones. Besides, the government has also decided to relocate the Shree Lingaraj police station and the office of the Lingaraj Temple Trust Board.
