Odisha CM announces projects worth Rs 70 crore for Pipili-Delanga

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister announced projects amounting to Rs. 70 crore for Pipili-Delanga of Puri district on Tuesday. The CM interacted with people of the constituency through Video Conferencing and also announced to develop the Gandhi Smruti Pitha of Berboi and set up a model school. CM’s 5T Secreatay VK Pandian conducted the virtual meeting.

The Rs. 70 crore projects include development of roads, irrigation facility, stadium, bridges and bus stand.

As per reports, Rs.1.5 crore will be spent for a new bus stand of Pipili while Rs.1.5 crore will also be spent for a new Handicraft vending Mall. Similarly, Rs. 1 crore will be spent for construction of town hall and Kalyan Mandap while Rs 2 crore will be spent for renovation of Bhubanananda pond.

Mahatma Gandhi had visited Delanga of Odisha on March 23, 1921 and attended an exhibition in Berboi. To commemorate 100 years of his coming here, the Gandhi Memorial of Berboi will be developed.

On this occasion the CM remembered former Pipili MLA late Pradeep Maharathy. He said that Maharathy was associated with the development of Pipili-Delanga for more than 30 years.

On this occasion two separate meetings were held in Pipili and Delanga. Attending the meeting in Pipili minister Sameer Dash praised the steps taken by CM for development of Puri district.

Sports Minister Tusharkanti Behera attended the meeting in Delanga and praised the developmental works of Puri district and said that development of Puri temple will attract more number of tourists.
