Paradip: Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy is on a two-day visit to Paradip. After reaching the restricted area of Paradip port, Tripathy was accorded the guard-of-honor by the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) jawans.
He then visited the dockyard and looked into the workings of various aspects of the port. After this he inaugurated the port beautification project near Sub-station square.
He then flagged off the plantation drive in which almost 1 lakh saplings are slated to be planted.
Later in the day he visited the modern sewerage treatment plant with the capacity of treating 2 million liters of water. Then he attended a meeting along with the Port Chief and officials and praised them for their laudable work.
