Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Mahapatra on Covid situation in State

Bhubaneswar: Briefing on Odisha chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra said that no lockdown or shutdown was announced in State.

Mahapatra said that 2% active cases require hospitalisation during Third Wave in State while 10% required hospitalisation during 2nd Wave.

Besides, 90% hospital beds in State are now vacant.

Containment measures not to affect people’s livelihoods

The Chief Secretary allays fears on lockdown due to rising Corona graph, says livelihoods are not being disturbed.
