Odisha celebrates Ganesh Puja with religious fervour
Bhubaneswar: Ganesh Puja is being celebrated across Odisha with religious fervour today with devotees in large number thronging the majestic puja pandals as well as temples of ‘Bighnabinashak’ starting from the morning.
People were seen offering ‘laddu bhog’ to the beloved God on this auspicious day to seek blessings for the good fortune for their families. Children were also seen visiting temples to seek blessing for improvement in studies as Sri Ganesh is considered to be the Lord of letters and learning.
Educational institutions including schools and colleges are also organizing puja on this occasion for which preparations were made since yesterday. The institutions have been decked up with flowers and mongo leaves beautifully by the students to welcome the occasion in a distinctive manner.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Governor Ganeshi Lal have also wished people of the State on this occasion for happiness and prosperity.
