Malkangiri: A Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) in Odisha’s Malkangiri district was on Friday suspended for negligence in duties and low-quality of ‘Chhatua’ (nutrition powder) meant for children.
The accused official has been identified as Lata Manjula Pradhan, CDPO, Kalimela.
Pradhan was placed under suspension after Malkangiri Collector Manish Agarwal visited two ‘Chhatua’ manufacturing units at MPV 27 and MV 69 under Kalimela block.
According to reports, the District Collector found that very low quality of ‘Chhatua’ was being made in unhygienic condition in the the said manufacturing units.
