Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will chair the cabinet meeting at State Secretariat here at 5.30 PM today, two days ahead of the beginning of Budget Session of Odisha Assembly.
According to sources, a major decision will be taken on the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme and irrigation projects in the meeting. Besides, key agendas on several development projects are likely to be discussed.
The meeting has its significance as the opposition Congress and BJP have geared up to corner the BJD government on various issues including distress paddy sale, safety of women etc. in the forthcoming Budget session.
