Balasore: A businessman was injured after being shot at by unidentified miscreants in broad daylight near Seragarh under Khantapada police limits in the district.
The victim identified as Bhagabat Rout was immediately rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital from where he was referred to SCB Medical College in Cuttack.
As per reports five miscreants reached the wholesale shop of Rout and asked for some snacks. However, the miscreants snatched his gold chain and started to run. Rout later tried to nab them and started chasing them. The miscreants later fired two rounds at him.
Rout has sustained injuries on his head and left hand. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
