Kalimela: Border Security Force (BSF) commandant was killed when he fell off his bike in Kalimela block in Malksngiri district of Odisha.
The tragic incident took place at around 3 am today. The commandant identified as Rakesh Kumar belonged to the 7th Battalion of BSF.
Rakesh was stationed at MPV 21 in the Kalimela block, along with his comrades and had gone on a combing operation to a nearby forest.
Due to unknown reasons, all of a sudden Rakesh Kumar fell off his bike and fell to the ground.
As a result, he suffered severe head injuries. He was immediately rushed to the BSF camp at MPV 21 for first aid.
However, his condition did not improve and he was taken to Kalimela Medical Center. There the doctor pronounced him dead.
The residence of the deceased BSF commandant is said to be in Rajasthan.
