Balasore: The brown sugar trade seems to be increasing with each passing day in Odisha. Almost every other day, the contraband is being seized by the police from various parts of the state.
In order to put a check on this illegal trade and extract further detail on the network, the Special Task Force (STF) has decided to get Takul Raja on remand.
Takul is an infamous inter-state drug peddler who had been arrested earlier. The STF has submitted a request for his remand in the Balasore Sessions Court today.
Once the remand is approved it is expected that a number of facts on brown sugar trade shall come to the fore and be revealed.
