Cuttack: An unidentified dead body has been found floating in the Kuakhai river on Tuesday morning in Cuttack district in Odisha.
The locals spotted the body floating in the river and immediately alerted the local police.
Police later reached the spot and recovered the body.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
A probe in this matter has been initiated by the police, further details are awaited.

The dead body floating in Kuakhai river in the morning has been identified.
The deceased has been identified as Suresh Adhek, the youth is a resident of Basta area in Balasore district of Odisha.
He was an auto driver by profession and was living in Rasulgarh area of Bhubaneswar since a long time.
Reports say, he had gone to bathe in Kuakhai with his friends two days back but had not returned home.
His family members had alerted the police and a search had been conducted by the authorities but in vain.
However, today locals spotted Adhek’s body floating in the river and immediately alerted the local police.
Mancheswar police reached the spot, recovered the body and have sent it for post mortem to Capital Hospital.
The reason of death will be know when the post mortem report arrives. Police is however suspecting some foul play.
