Bhubaneswar: In an interesting development, Odisha BJP president Basant Panda’s nephew Harischandra Panda today joined Biju Janata Dal (BJD) along with hundreds of supporters at Naveen Niwas here.
BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik inducted Harischandra into the conch party fold and expressed happiness over the latter’s decision.
In his reaction to media soon after joining the conch party Harischandra said, his soul objective is to serve the soil and the BJD supremo’s leadership and development initiatives have inspired him.
While answering a question on Basant Panda, Harischandra claimed that his uncle is working for a particular party and not for the soil. He has continuously neglected Nuapara, further added Harischandra.
