Odisha-based youtuber in trouble for teaching parrot to talk

Keonjhar: A young man from Keonjhar district of Odisha was arrested after teaching a parrot how to speak on a live video on YouTube.

The arrested youth has been identified as Chinmay Mohanto of Kumundi village, Banspal block of Keonjhar district. He was arrested by the forest department on charges of violating the Wildlife Protection Act.

Chinmay was seen in the video teaching an Alexandrian Parakeet to speak on his YouTube channel. He was also showing people how the parrot would not bite.

He made a video of all the above mentioned acts and uploaded it on his “Chinmay Bhai” YouTube channel. This video was seen by many people.

Shubhendu Mallik of Bhubaneswar Snake Helpline complained to PCCF. After receiving the complaint,  Chinmay Mohanto was arrested by the PCCF.
