Odisha: ATM loot bid foiled in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: Unidentified miscreants broke an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of Bank of India at Khireitangiri village under Turumunga Police Station in the district but failed to steal cash from it late last night.

The incident came to light this morning when the villagers found the ATM broken.

On being informed, Turumunga Police reached the spot and sealed the ATM after a preliminary investigation.

A major part of the ATM was damaged by the miscreants but the money stored in the machine was safe, police said.

Police also said, the miscreants will soon be identified on the basis of the footage from the surveillance cameras installed on the ATM premises.
