Odisha Assembly House Committee constituted to analyse Srimandira Parikrama Project

Bhubaneswar: An eight-member Odisha Assembly House Committee has been constituted to examine the work going on around the famous Lord Jagannath temple in Puri of Odisha under the Srimandira Parikrama project.

As per reports, the Committee was constituted under the chairmanship of Odisha Assembly Speaker Surya Narayan Patro. The members of this Committee are Congress leader Narasingha Mishra, BJD MLA Debi Prasad Mishra, BJP MLA Jayanta Sadangi, BJP MLA Lalitendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra, Odisha Law Minister Pratap Jena, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh and BJD MLA Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier on Tuesday the Odisha Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Bikram Keshari Arukh had said in a Statement in the Odisha Assembly about constitution of this Committee.

The Srimandir Parikrama Project or Srimandir Heritage Corridor Project is the ambitious plan of Odisha Government to transform Puri into a World Heritage City. The project includes creation of various amenities and infrastructure around 75-metre radius of the Shree Jagannath Temple among others.
