Bhubaneswar: The Budget session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly will begin from March 25, 2022, and continue in till March 31. The state budget will be presented on March 30.
Reportedly, the 9th session of the 16th Odisha Assembly will begin with Governor’s address today. The discussion on Governor’s Address will take place for two days on March 26 and March 28.
The next day, official business will be tabled and on March 30, Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the budget.
The Covid test of all the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), staff, and other senior officials including the Speaker was conducted on March 23.
It is pertinent to mention that the six-day long assembly session is likely to be stormy over several issues including Cameraman Manas Swain’s murder case.
Notably, Odisha Legislative Assembly has launched its YouTube channel. All proceedings of the Assembly will be broadcast on the Youtube channel.
Besides, the State Assembly will start its television channel Vidhan Sabha TV and a monthly magazine named, Vidhan Sabha Patrika will also be unveiled very soon.
