Bhubaneswar: The Winter Session of Odisha Assembly began today on a stormy note. The House was adjourned till 3 PM today as Opposition BJP and Congress members created ruckus over women safety issue.
As soon as the House began, the opposition members demanded a discussion on women safety issue by suspending the Question Hour.
Some members from both BJP and Congress went to the podium of the Speaker and raised slogans to press their demand.
The Speaker Surya Narayan Patro directed the agitating MLAs to go to their respective seats but in vain. The pandemonium continued forcing the Speaker to adjourn the House till 3 PM today.
