Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Sunday appointed 172 dental surgeons in an effort to provide better dental care services at various state-run hospitals in the state.
The dental surgeons were appointed following the recommendation of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
Of total 172 appointees, 106 are female and 66 are male dental surgeons. They were asked to join duty within 30 days of issuance of the notification i.e. from today.
According to an official statement, the dental surgeons were appointed in the junior rank of Group A of Odisha Medical and Health Services (Dental) cadre under the Health and Family Welfare Department at pay scale of Rs 56,100 (as per the 7th pay commission) and other allowances sanctioned by the government.
