Odisha: 9 Teachers In Ganjam Suspended For Getting Jobs Through Fraudulent Document

Ganjam: The Ganjam District Administration has suspended as many as 9 teachers for working on the basis of forged documents.

The District Administration has also registered cases against concerned teachers. The fraud came to light after verification of certificates furnished by the teachers.

“The certificates produced by the teachers showed that they have obtained degrees from a Berhampur University. But during verification, the certificates were found to be forged,” said an official.

Officials said that earlier 7 teachers in Dharakote block of the district were found to be working on the basis of forged certificates. “The number is likely to increase as we have sought information of educational qualification of teachers working in the district,” added the official.
