Sambalpur: As many as five gates of Hirakud dam remained opened to maintain the water level at the reservoir here in Odisha on Thursday.
The water level of the reservoir stood at 626.19 feet at 6 AM today, while the dam has a capacity of holding water upto 630 feet, informed Hirakud Dam officials.
Currently, the water inflow into the dam is 2,53,570 cusecs while water outflow from the reservoir is 1,01,098 cusec, officials added.
