Odisha: 42 migrant workers rescued, broker detained in Balangir district

Balangir: As many as 42 migrant workers were rescued by Kantabanji police in Balangir district of Odisha on Monday when they were being illegally shifted to another State. A broker (Sardar) has also been detained in this connection.

As per reports, acting on a tip-off which said that the migrant workers were being taken to Kantabanji railway station in three Bolero vehicles, Police followed them.

Police rescued the migrant workers near Chatuanka village.

There were 24 male members, 15 women and three minors in the group of 42 who were rescued by the Police team.
