Kendrapara: In a shocking incident, three members of a family were critically injured in an acid attack at Patilipamka village under Marshaghai police limits in the district lastnight.
The victims, identified as Himanshu Barik, his wife Minati and their two-year-old daughter Subhashree, have been admitted to a private-run-hospital in Cuttack for treatment.
Himanshu has reportedly sustained critical injuries in his eyes.
According to reports, unidentified miscreants threw acid on the trio through the window of their house when they were asleep.
Hearing their screams, neighbours rescued the three and rushed them to the hospital.
