Jaleswar: Three police cops have been suspended on charges of neglect of duty. The cops have been suspended in connection with escaping of a brown sugar trader from the Jaleswar police station in Balasore district.
The suspended police cops are Sub-Inspector Priyadarshani Khatua, Constables Sk Mairuddin and Rabindra Hansda.
After a probe into the matter, the Additional District Superintendent of Police in Balasore had suspended the cops.
On the 18th night, Jaleswar police arrested Muktar, a brownsugar trader, from Chaitan Sahoo Street near Jaleswar Bazaar.
Muktar escaped on the night of the 19th with dust in cops eyes.
Three cops have been suspended for failing to do their duties, letting the brown sugar trader to escape.
